The final numbers are in, and this year’s market raised $88,563 to support the work of fourteen local and national mission partners. Since 1995, this special event has offered an alternative to the consumer culture that invades the Christmas season, raising nearly a million dollars! Immanuel was grateful to host MLK Scholarships Milwaukee for their fiftieth anniversary celebration on Sunday afternoon, January 11. The Rev. Danny Murphy, one of the early scholarship recipients, returned to offer the keynote for the day. Rev. Murphy currently serves as General Presbyter of the Trinity Presbytery in South Carolina.
