The Forward Scholars Tutoring Program is recruiting volunteer tutors for the 2026-27 school year. Immanuel tutors have supported this thriving program in the Milwaukee Public Schools since 2022. Immanuel is providing evening meals for guests at the Cathedral Center Shelter for Women and Families every quarter this year. The next dates are Sunday, August 16; Monday, August 17; and Tuesday, August 18. Mary Stoker Smith was recently featured in a story by the Presbyterian News Service following the General Assembly meeting in Milwaukee. Immanuel friends joined a "Presbyterians With Pride" group to march in Milwaukee's annual Pride Parade. The Presbyterian group marched alongside our neighbors from the First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee and local Episcopal and Lutheran groups, too. It was a wonderful ecumenical effort to share God's love for all!
