Nine new members and friends were welcomed by Immanuel's Session (governing board) this month. They were hosted by the Ministers and Session at a special Welcome and Orientation Event following worship on Sunday, January 11. The Immanuel was told and participants learned about the congregation's shared mission and ministry. The group will be welcomed by the congregation during morning worship soon. The next Welcome and Orientation Event will be held later this spring. I
The final numbers are in, and this year’s market raised $88,563 to support the work of fourteen local and national mission partners. Since 1995, this special event has offered an alternative to the consumer culture that invades the Christmas season, raising nearly a million dollars!
