Fourteen new members and friends were welcomed by Immanuel's Session (governing board) this spring. They were hosted by the Ministers and Session at a special Welcome and Orientation Event where the Immanuel story was shared and participants learned about the congregation's shared mission and ministry. The Forward Scholars Tutoring Program is recruiting volunteer tutors for the 2026-27 school year. Immanuel tutors have supported this thriving program in the Milwaukee Public Schools since 2022. Started by longtime Immanuel mission partner, Common Ground, students in Forward Scholars average over 2 years of literacy growth after just 8 months in the program.
