Baptism at Immanuel
Welcoming beloved children of God, from babies to adults

Water, blessing, promise, community. Baptism is a visible sign of God's invisible grace, and an act of faith that sets us on a journey that lasts our whole lives. At Immanuel, we celebrate baptism as a sign and seal of God’s redeeming grace offered to all people and marks the beginning of new life in Christ.

Baptism at Immanuel is a sacrament shared in community. Baptisms happen during Sunday worship, surrounded by our whole church family. When someone is baptized, our whole community pledges to support, encourage, and nurture their faith journey.

We baptize infants and children whose parents want to claim God's promises for them. Our only prerequisite for infant and child baptism is that one parent or grandparent be an active member of Immanuel. Adult baptisms are typically part of worship when new members and friends are welcomed. To learn more about being a member of the church, visit us or contact the church office.

Those interested in presenting a child for baptism or making a profession of faith should contact the church office for more information and to get connected with one of Immanuel’s ministers.
