Immanuel joins "Presbyterians With Pride" in MKE Pride Parade
Immanuel friends joined a "Presbyterians With Pride" group to march in Milwaukee's annual Pride Parade. The Presbyterian group marched alongside our neighbors from the First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee and local Episcopal and Lutheran groups, too. Rose window returns!
About 16 months ago, the beautiful rose window above the main entrance on Astor Street (and in the upstairs Chapel) was removed for repair. Due to 100+ years of wear, the wooden frame and pedals were completely rebuilt by Zuehlsdorf Woodworks and the stained glass has been cleaned and will be re-installed by Oakbrook Esser Studios. Community Center for Immigrants welcomes volunteers
During April's Minute-for-Mission, Community Center for Immigrants (CCI) Exectuive Director Caitlyn Lewis interpreted the important work CCI does to help local immigrants navigate the federal immigration system. By offering supportive services under one roof, CCI helps people secure their legal status, continue their education, access better jobs, and move forward with greater stability.
