Immanuel is hosting a Peanut Butter Drive to support the Interchange Food Pantry this summer!

When school is out, hunger sets in for thousands of Milwaukee children who rely on free school meals during the academic year. Interchange is asking for our help to fill the gap with a “Schools Out For Summer” peanut butter drive. One of the most requested food items at the pantry, peanut butter is nutritious, kid-friendly, and shelf-stable, making it a powerful tool in the fight against hunger.

Through August, Immanuel will collect both 16 and 28 oz. jars of CREAMY peanut butter in a bin in the Astor Street coatroom. To make a financial gift to the drive, go to:  https://www.interchangefoodpantry.org/donate. With even a $5 gift, the pantry can buy three jars of peanut butter.

An Immanuel mission partner for over fifty years, Immanuel helped start Interchange in 1971. Committed to providing guests with nutritious food and compassion, the pantry expanded in 2018 to serve all Milwaukee zip codes. Immanuel members Allyson Nemec and Scott Silet serve on the Interchange board. For more information about the pantry or to sign-up to volunteer, go to: https://interchangefoodpantry.org/about/.
