The Presbytery of Milwaukee and Immanuel Presbyterian Church are planning a special Service of Installation on Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. for the Rev. Teresa A. Larson and the Rev. Robert W. Ater. Neighbors, friends, and local mission partners are warmly invited to attend; Interfaith clergy colleauges are invited to robe and process with the co-pastor team and presbytery commission.

Larson and Ater were elected by the congregation on January 25 to serve as co-pastors beginning September 1. They currently serve the congregation as associate pastors. Rev. Larson joined the pastoral team in September of 2020 and Rev. Ater has served Immanuel since August of 2004.

At January's congregational meeting, Dr. Deborah Anderson, chair of the Human Resources Committee described the long and thoughtful process that identified the two talented and caring pastors already in the congregation's midst. The co-pastors-elect are both grateful for this new and exciting call and have already begun to serve within the congregation's new model with the support of Interim Pastor Randy Bush. Dr. Bush will remain with the congregation through the summer. A farewell is being planned for Sunday, August 30.
