The Alternative Christmas Market has become one of Immanuel Church’s favorite annual events. For over thirty years, it has offered an alternative to the consumer culture that invades the Christmas season – and has raised nearly a million dollars to support the work of partner organizations in Milwaukee and around the world.
Representatives from fourteen organizations and agencies were on hand to talk with “shoppers” about the work of their organizations, how a gift to the Alternative Christmas Market can make a difference, and how Immanuel friends can volunteer to serve.
So many community members came to the market and got to know our community in a new and deeper way.
Many thanks to all who shopped and volunteered their time at last Sunday’s Alternative Christmas Market! For over thirty years, this annual event has offered an alternative to the consumer culture that invades the Christmas season to support the work of partner organizations in Milwaukee and around the world.
Special thanks to Connie Goggin and Susan Teerink, market co-coordinators; this year’s market planning team: Sue Rennane, Sharon Rose, Scott Silet, Leslie Smart, Bobbi Timberlake, Julia Vosper, Rob Ater; and the Mission Committee.
If you missed the market and would like to place an order, view the shopping list here: https://bit.ly/IPC_ACM_ShoppingList2025 then print and mail a copy of the form along with a check made to Immanuel (put ACM on the memo line) to the church office.
