About the event
On Wednesday evenings during Lent we will gather at tables in our common church home for a simple supper of soup and bread at 6:00, followed by a brief service of evening prayer and the Lord’s Supper around the tables. After supper and table worship, we’ll share in table conversation and learning together.
Tonight's theme: Testimony and Faith Stories + Sharing in Dialogue Sermons
Though there is usually only one preacher on a Sunday, preaching is communal; a sermon is not the final interpretive word but an invitation to the community to think more deeply about how Scripture connects to our life together. The ministers will introduce a style of preaching not often heard on Sunday mornings called Dialogue Sermons, which offer opportunities throughout the sermon for conversation on living our faith story together.
