About the event

In preparation for our weekend with Rev. Dr. Anna Carter Florence, all are welcome to for two virtual "Immanuel Reads" conversations on her book, A is for Alabaster, which explores an array of characters and stories in the Bible. From courageous Abigail to Zelophehad's daughters, and from an alabaster jar of ointment to Zacchaeus in the sycamore tree, the book takes readers on an "A to Z" tour of the Old and New Testaments. The first conversation on April 15, facilitated by Rev. Sue Burwell, will cover the Old Testament; the second conversation on April 22, facilitated by Dr. Carter Florence, will cover the New Testament. Copies of the book are available for purchase for $10 in the Parlor or by calling the church office. Zoom links for the conversations will be sent in an e-blast.
