About the event

Handel’s oratorio masterpiece, Messiah, is organized in three parts. The first section focuses on Jesus’ birth; the second on his passion and resurrection; the third on his promised return in glory. The Chancel Choir will offer Part II of Messiah during Lent, Holy Week, and Easter. It contains solo selections (recitatives and arias) as well as larger choral pieces (choruses) highlighting Christ’s arrest, crucifixion, and Easter morning resurrection. We invite all singers to join us in sharing this special musical offering with the congregation.  The choir rehearses at 6:00 on Monday evenings.
