SCREENING OF “A TIME FOR BURNING”

Sunday, March 1 at 11:15 in the Upper Room

The Adult Education Committee is hosting a screening of the 1966 film A Time for Burning. The documentary explores the attempts of the Rev. L. William Youngdahl, minister of Augustana Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska, to lead his all-white congregation through the Civil Rights Movement by orchestrating outreach to two nearby Black Lutheran churches. The film runs 55 minutes and will be followed by a brief discussion.
