The Day of Pentecost is the day that the Church celebrates its birthday –
the day we recall the coming of the Holy Spirit to the first disciples of Jesus Christ,
fifty days after his resurrection.
It is our tradition at Immanuel Church to celebrate Pentecost with our annual Pentecost Party. All are invited to enjoy lunch in the Peaceable Kingdom, complete with “Fruit of the Spirit” salad, and a birthday cake for the Church! We will also give thanks for the ministry of our 2017-18 Church School teachers. Look for the sign-up sheets in both the Parlor and the Peaceable Kingdom on Sunday mornings or contact the church office (ipc@immanuelwi.org; 414-276-4757) to let us know you plan to attend.
RED is the color of the day – the Holy Spirit came with wind and fire
to those first disciples – so be sure to wear something RED!
