DO NOT BE AFRAID

Advent 2024

​

All are invited to participate in the Advent Workshop in the Upper Room on the First Sunday of Advent, December 1, following worship.  This year's workshop will focus on the theme “do not be afraid.”  

There will be activities for all ages to enjoy!  

​

The main activity at the workshop will be making an Advent wreath for each household, to mark the weeks of Advent at home as we do here at church.   Please let the planners know how many in your household will be participating by signing up on the sheets in the Parlor (or clicking here: https://bit.ly/IPC_AdventWorkshop2024) so that we can be sure to have sufficient materials and refreshments. You can also help by bringing:            

                           

• your wire wreath ring with candle holders from previous year (or $7.00 to purchase one)

• $5.00 minimum contribution per wreath for supplies (greens, ribbons, four candles)

• a pair of scissors (labeled with your name)

• clippers for greens (labeled with your name)

• a friend (this is a great opportunity to introduce a friend to Immanuel Church!)

• a sliced loaf of holiday bread, a plate of cheese and crackers, or some fruit for the refreshments table https://bit.ly/IPC_AdventWorkshop2024

• something to place under the tree for the Christ Presbyterian Church Christmas Store: toys, books, mittens, gloves, hats, scarves
