Alternative Christmas Market
Sunday, December 10 + 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
in Immanuel's Upper Room
1100 N. Astor Street, Milwaukee
"A Different Way To Do Christmas"
Enjoy a special kind of shopping this Christmas,
and discover the joy of giving gifts
that spread the good news of
Jesus' birth in a hungry and hurting world.
A much anticipated holiday tradition for the congregation and community, the Alternative Christmas Market provides a different way to do Christmas, an alternative to the hectic consumer-driven shopping season. At the festive "market" in Immanuel's Upper Room, local mission partner representatives will be on hand to talk with shoppers about the work of their organizations and how a gift to the Alternative Christmas Market can make a difference. Pick up a card for each gift, with a description of your purchase, as your gift to a family member or friend. Enjoy holiday refreshments while you shop among friends and think about how the gifts you purchase will benefit people in Milwaukee and around the world.
Want to learn more about how the market works
and the participating partner organizations?
Gifts may be purchased:
at the in-person market on December 10
at the market table at Coffee Hour on Sunday mornings: December 17 & 24
by printing out and mailing back this shopping list / form with your check payable to Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Do not send cash through the mail.
Gift (greeting) cards are recommended for sharing and interpreting your gift. Each gift card ($1) will include the name of the gift and organization it supports and an insert to describe the organization being supported by the gift. Gift cards will be available at the market on December 10 and at Coffee Hour on December 17 or by appointment in the church office. If you place your order by mail and would like gift cards mailed back to you, please allow plenty of time for the church office to process your order.
