Alternative Christmas Market

1035 N. Waverly Place
11:15 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Many wonderful Christmas items for sale!
A much anticipated holiday tradition for the congregation and the community, the market provides an alternative for shoppers to the hectic, consumer-driven “maul at the mall.”
Since the first Alternative Christmas Market in 1995, this annual event has raised over $195,000, all of which has been given to participating agencies and organizations. Shoppers at this year’s market may purchase a variety of gifts ranging in price from $5 to $200, with many gifts under $50. Gift items include: a hat and mittens for a child (Community Advocates), a stocked toolbox (Habitat for Humanity), a home-based care kit for a person with AIDS (Presbyterian International Health Ministries), and tutoring for an adult learning to read (Literacy Services of Wisconsin).
Gifts are made in the name of friends, relatives, or co-workers; specially designed cards describe the gifts and the organizations that will benefit from them. The Alternative Christmas Market provides a tangible way to spread the spirit of Christmas – the good news of Jesus’ birth for a hungry and hurting world.
