Located at 1100 N. Astor Street, Immanuel Presbyterian Church is in the heart of Milwaukee’s lower east side.  The church is located one half block south of the Astor and Knickerbocker hotels on the east side of Astor Street, between Juneau Avenue and State Street.  The Parish House, 1105 N. Waverly Place, is home to the church offices.  The Waverly House, 1035 N. Waverly Place, houses the Immanuel Church School and Nursery, the ReSale Shop, and several meeting rooms for congregational use.  These buildings are located directly east of the church on Waverly Place.  Ramp access to the church is available at the east doors near the Waverly House and the Brico Fund's parking lots. 

Access to the church parking lot (next to Waverly House) may be gained at an entrance south of the church building on Astor Street.  VISITORS are invited to take advantage of two specially marked visitor parking spots in this lot.  Additional parking (only on Sunday mornings) is available in the Brico Fund (formerly Zita’s) lot north of the church.  There is also street parking on Prospect Avenue and several spaces available in the Junior League lot at 1036 Juneau Avenue.  Parking is no longer available in the Barnett Gallery lot.  Consult the parking map below for more information. 

During the current construction of the Marquette Interchange, these suggestions might be helpful:

From the north (I-43): Exit at McKinley Avenue.  Follow McKinley Avenue east to N. Old World Third Street.  Turn right on Third Street and go one block to Juneau Avenue.  Turn left onto Juneau Avenue and follow Juneau Avenue east about 10 blocks (uphill) to Astor Street.  Turn right onto Astor.  The church is on the left.       

From the southeast (I-94, from Chicago):  Normal access to I-794 east is closed.  Go past this closed exit, merging onto I-43 north.  Approximately 1.5 miles north of the interchange, exit at Exit # 73A, McKinley Avenue. Follow the signs for McKinley Avenue by merging to the right from the off-ramp.  Follow McKinley Avenue east to N. Old World Third Street.  Turn right on Third Street and go one block to Juneau Avenue.  Turn left onto Juneau Avenue and follow Juneau Avenue east about 10 blocks (uphill) to Astor Street.  Turn right onto Astor.  The church is on the left.        

From the west (I-94, from Madison):  Access to I-794 from this direction is open.  Follow I-94 east to I-794 east.  Take the Van Buren / Jackson Street exit.  Follow Van Buren north to Juneau.  Turn right onto Juneau.  Astor Street is several blocks east.  Turn right onto Astor.  The church is on the left.
