Worship With Us
this Holy Week and Easter
Maundy Thursday, April 21, 7:30 p.m.
The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper
The Gospel According to Matthew
“Maundy” Thursday gets its name from the Latin word for “mandate,” and it refers to Jesus’ commandment that we love one another as he loves us. It is the congregation's practice to read one of the gospel accounts of the last night of Jesus’ life, his last supper and his betrayal. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is an important part of the service. For those who find choral music important to worship, the full Chancel Choir will lead the congregation in worship.
